Rockefeller (Standard Oil) is determined to keep kerosene in the light
game. He begins a campaign to stop electricity before it gains traction
and puts him out of business.
Though he may underestimate the draw of this magical new power. JP
Morgan has more to worry about than Rockefeller. Now he and Thomas
Edison are locked in a heated battle against George Westinghouse and
Nikola Tesla in what will become the dominate form of eletricity -
Direct Current (DC) or Alternating Current (AC)." Edison developed
the world's first electric chair to prove Tesla's AC is dangerous, but
it backfired when the world's first execution by electricity drug out
and basically roasted the man alive. Edison and Morgan's reputation were
negatively impacted. Electricity is about to go national.
