German instrument worker Daniel Fahrenheit (1686 – 1736) introduced the Fahrenheit temperature scale, used in English speaking countries. The temperature of freezing water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit and boiling water is 212 degrees Fahrenheit. (p. 16)
