Know ye, That John T. Vardiman a Corporal of Captain Robert H. Armstrong Company, (F.) 6 Regiment of Kentucky Infantry VOLUNTEERS who was enrolled on the 14 day of October one thousand eight hundred and 61 to serve 3 years or during the war, is hereby Discharged from the service of the United States this 31 day of December, 1864, at Nashville Tennessee by reason of expiration of term of service. (No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist.)

Said John T. Vardiman was born in Shelby Co. in the state of Kentucky, is 23 years of age. 5 feet 7 inches high, fair complexion, blue eyes, dark hair, and by occupation, when enrolled, a farmer.

Given at Nashville Tennessee this thirty first day of December 1864.
